A large and emotive piece from Rebecca's body of work entitled Cycles Of Desire "an exploration of desire, lack and mortality through the female form".

Here white paint boldly covers what lies beneath and results in a sense of serenity and purity, as well as acting as a mask. White washing highlights and covers at the same time as we are confronted by a woman becoming invisible as her mind contemplates herself fading with her superficial beauty.

Decay and mortality are confronted in portraiture that is interested in what lies behind the perfect images that saturate our society.
